End-Semester Assignment

During the session, we reviewed the Canva features we practiced in the previous session, including Canva for Education, creating new teacher accounts, and exploring its various features. Canva for Education is a free option for educators who join from their school's official account, granting access to premium features and templates for their Canva projects. Additionally, teachers shared some of their work during the session. After the revision, we focused on sharing and downloading Canva projects, animating objects in presentations, and creating video lectures using Canva.

In the second part of the session, we introduced the Book Creator app. This app enables teachers to engage students by incorporating multimedia elements such as text, images, audio, and video into their books. With a user-friendly interface and customizable templates, Book Creator is suitable for various educational purposes, including designing lesson materials, collaborative projects, and digital portfolios.

We explored the following features of the Book Creator app:

  • Creating a library in Book Creator

  • Using the Teacher's Dashboard

  • Accessing tutorials and certification programs offered by Book Creator

  • Exploring the Discover section for sample books and learning resources

In the last 30 minutes of the session, we practiced creating a new book using the app. We learned how to add pages, incorporate audio, video, and text, embed external files, and create links. Additionally, participants were assigned a task to complete a course and design a book on either the Canva Design School website or the Canva for Teachers tutorial page. They were asked to share the link or their reflections in a provided Google Doc.
